Thunder Mountain Wheelers Adopted Trails
The Thunder Mountain Wheeler ATV club has been actively involved in the maintenance, construction, cleaning, clearing, installing width restrictors and the overall restoration of 50” or less ATV trails on the GMUG National Forest since our inception in 1990.
We have been actively involved in the Colorado Parks & Wildlife OHV grant program where successful applications has support the bulk of our efforts.
We deploy 2 small trail dozers, a trail sized backhoe, multiple easy dump trailers and multiple hand tools on over 160 miles of adopted trails each summer.

A complete list of Adopted Trails on the Uncompahgre Plateau. The Southern end of the Uncompahgre Plateau is managed by the Ouray Ranger District in Montrose and the northern end is managed by Grand Valley Ranger District in Grand Junction Colorado.
